  • Owl prowl with Mark Glenshaw the owl man!

    Forest Park Visitor Center

Summer is in full swing and this WILL be another great day for an owl adventure in Forest Park with the friendly Mark Glenshaw (regardless of the weather)! Unusually entertaining and witty for a dedicated naturalist, Mark's interest in and enthusiasm for nature and owls continues to burn strong as we enter this 14th year of his documenting of this family of great horned owls. I first met him back in 2009 when I did my first Forest Park 365 project (forestpark365.com), and he has some great stories to tell of nocturnal adventures and owl behavior. Be sure to bring your camera and a telephoto lens as there will most likely be some great opportunity for capturing some really great images. Sign up soon, though, as space is very limited! Check out this article if you want to learn more about a really great guy and his appreciation of the wonders of nature! https://patch.com/missouri/stlouis/meet-owl-man-who-prowls-forest-park-night

    St. Louis Photo Authority®

Ars gratia artis! Let's talk composition, elements and other aspects of image creation. Bring us 5 to 10 of your most recent photos and we'll give you some helpful evaluation of your images. Make them full resolution jpeg files (if you're not sure how to do that, be sure to sign up for our Adobe Lightroom classes) and save them into a directory (folder) titled with your name. Copy that directory to a USB drive and bring it to our critique!
