Same Place, Hours Apart — Part 1 of 3
Details
A photo crawl across three weekends in Fontainhas, one of Porto’s most photogenic neighbourhoods. The premise is simple: pick a single spot somewhere in Fontainhas on day one, then return at sunset and sunrise on the following weekends to shoot the same frame. The end result is a triptych collage showing how one place transforms across the day.
This Saturday is Part 1: midday light.
We meet at A Certain Cafe at 10:30am for coffee and a quick hello. Shooting kicks off around 11:15 and runs until 13:00. Everyone wanders off into Fontainhas to find their spot. The choice is yours: a doorway, a tiled facade, a stretch of railway track, a view down to the river, a quiet corner of an azulejo wall. Whatever pulls you in. Once you’ve found it, take your shot, note the angle, and remember it well, because you’ll be coming back to it twice more.
Part 2 (following weekend): return to your spot at sunset for the golden hour version.
Part 3 (weekend after): return at sunrise for the dawn version.
Exact times and meeting points for parts 2 and 3 will be shared closer to the date.
Can’t make a session? Shoot it async on your own time and drop your frame in our shared Drive folder. The point is the triptych, not the attendance.
What to bring: any camera you like (phone is welcome) and comfortable shoes.
