Eagles of Klamath

Details

Every year wildfowl migrate to the Klamath basin bordering Oregon and California. Bald eagles come here in droves to feed on the little ducks and sometimes fish. Last year we photographed up to eight eagles in one tree and had unlimited opportunities for eagles in flight. I shot over 1000 images of eagles and many of other waterfowl such as geese and ducks. We will first meet and have a bit of field time until sunset, then meet to review photography tips and editing for all the good shots you will be getting. We will head out early the following mornings for the sunrise feeding activity and then explore throughout the day for a variety of images. A lens of at least 400mm is recommended.

Cost is $335 double occupancy and $525 single to hold your spot. Price includes lodging, meeting room and pizza Friday during our review session. We will car pool to locations each day and drive around quite a bit to get the best activity. This is a very low activity meetup in terms of physical requirements-most of the time is in the vehicles with occasional walking short distances of less than 100 yards on dirt roads.
