This meetup is a photography workshop to demonstrate, practice and teach techniques relating to Event, Social and Party Photography. Although it's an area we all experience regularly whether it be events with family or events with friends, it is a particularly challenging area because our social events tend to happen in low light environments with poor lighting and limited space to move around to get the best shot.

In this workshop we will be teaching:

• Planning coverage and planning room setups
• Taking photos in low light with and without flash
• Taking photos under harsh, interior lighting
• Mixed lighting
• Taking "table group photos" effectively
• Using flash effectively
• Taking group photos
• Working with limited space
• Taking food photos
• Taking photojournalistic photos for indoor events
• Low light motion/action photos
  In addition there will be a social dinner interlude.

There will be professional models there to practice and demonstrate our techinques on.

Please note dinner is not included in the fee (the fee is for the workshop, and you will need to order your food separately. Main meals are approximately $15-$20)

About the Lead Presenter:
Our presenter is a professional event photographer and is the event photographer for many corporate clients including the Australian Defence Force, the University of Melbourne, Multiplex, Deloitte and many others.
