Introduction to - Visualize: The Art of Seeing and Creating the Artistic Vision
Visualize: To form a mental image - to imagine:
“The camera doesn't make a bit of difference. All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to SEE.” Ernst Haas
Visualize:
To make visible to the eye:
"Great photographs are not taken, they are made" Ansel Adams
Recently, a student and I set out to take sunset photos on Ridgecrest Blvd. As the sun set I turned to the right and saw one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. If we want to become artist / photographers we have to stop, look, see beyond our original idea, find the deeper beauty and then know how to communicate that vision.
The goal of this introductory workshop is to help attendees learn to slow down, see and develop their own art and style. Attendees should have a good understanding of how to use the manual functions of their camera. Attendees can choose to stay together drawing from each others' creativity, or they are free to explore in pairs or on their own.
