Webinar Announcement! The Smart Telescope Revolution ðŸ”
Details
Many of you have attended my Milky Way workshops and have subsequently been bitten hard by starlight fever. Once your gaze turns skyward, the urge to see more increases. I've often been asked for recommendations on telescopes. As a long-time telescope fiend (my other obsession), it is difficult to recommend a specific telescope because of the many varieties of telescopes that exist and the different types of celestial viewing people enjoy. I own several telescopes, each with its strengths and weaknesses.
In June, my nephew gifted me a ZWO Seestar S50, a smart telescope. I can confidently say that I am impressed by this small but powerful device. The three deep-space images featured were taken with my Seestar without any post-processing on my part. While it doesn’t replace my other telescopes, its capabilities make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to deepen their interest in stargazing without facing a steep learning curve or big price tag.
I have enlisted my friend, Greg Shanos, to present his detailed knowledge on smart scopes to you. The Seestar S50 is featured in the webinar, but other smart scopes like the Dwarf, Unistellar, Seestar S30, and others are discussed and compared as well. Join us on Saturday, November 1st, @ 11 am EDT for this live webinar.
Learn more about Greg on the webinar registration page. Greg presents on various astronomical topics to astronomy clubs and groups across the country.
The webinar is free. Registration for the Zoom link is required. Please share the registration link with anyone who might enjoy it.
Clear skies!
