Strawberry full moon or Rose full moon as they call in Europe. In month of June the wild strawberries ripe and because its a very short season when strawberries can be harvested the full moon of June is called as "Strawberry moon". Some cultures also call this as a "Honey moon" as the moon has a warm tint around the sunrise. This time we shall have a telescope setup to watch Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and many other stars and galaxies. Carry your binoculars to watch the night sky as we help you spot many celestial objects. Look out for satellite flares as they pass overhead after sunset. This is a kids friendly free event organized by Travel Backyard and Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority. Join us to spend a relaxed evening on top of the valley.

- Layered clothing. Dress to suit the weather. Check for the forecast temperature and wind.

Look for the parking lot as you reach close to the address. Use google maps link share above for accurate navigation. The roads are windy and narrow. Drive slow and safe.
Carpooling is recommended as there are limited parking spots. Parking is free and everyone is required to stay at the parking lot to attend this event. The gates close immediately after the event.
