Explore NJ - Haddonfield

Details

It's time for our pre-spiring meeting, folks! Haddonfield is one of many Jersey downtown areas that will add color to your life and give our team members many opportunities for street and landscape photography. We may even spot some wildlife near the river. This link covers the town's history and will transport you back in time to when this part of Jersey and its history was being profoundly shaped.

March 10 is the last day for Haddonfield's Restaurant Week, so any of you looking for a place to eat out before or after our time here will be in luck.

Parking is free here on Sundays. While you may park anywhere, let's try to meet up at the parking lot at 117 Allen Ave, Haddonfield, NJ 08033

Our first stop will be at 47 Friends Ave for the Haddonfield Friends Meeting (open 10-11:30), a 7-minute walk from the lot and in the city center. From here we can go to Evan's Mill Road which takes us to the bridge over the Cooper River between Evan's Pond and Wallworth Lake. We can cross the bridge to take in the views of the park on the other side or make our way back and along King's Highway back to the downtown area.

On our way we can make stops at these locations:

  • Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery
  • Indian King Tavern Museum (opens at 1:00 pm)
  • First Baptist Church
  • Hadrosaurus Foulki Site is where the first relatively complete set of dinosaur bones was discovered (if we have a lot of time left over)
  • Dinosaur Statue

Now for the bad news - there's a 30% chance of showers clearing up as the day progresses so please consider carrying a poncho or an umbrella.
