Welcome to the Photography and Lighting Meetup group with Cameraschool.ca!
This group has been created to offer live photography courses in Toronto, along with occasional studio lighting courses. These are PAID courses, as we are a small business.
If you are keen on receiving detailed, in-depth photography training and getting up to speed quickly, then you are welcome to join us for any of our courses. Courses will be posted here regularly, or you can view our course schedule at www.cameraschool.ca

In Photo 101, you will master essential photography skills and techniques to capture captivating images with confidence. This course covers:
- Camera Mastery: Learn the vital controls of your camera, including setup for focus, color, and image quality to ensure every shot is optimized.
- Exposure Control: Gain fine control over photo exposure for consistent, satisfying results, beyond what automatic settings provide.
- Shutter Speed & Motion Effects: Understand how to use shutter speed to create motion effects, from basic blur to advanced motion control.
- Depth of Field Techniques: Explore depth of field for subject isolation or deep-focus landscapes, mastering both creative and technical applications.
- Lens & Perspective Choices: Discover how focal length impacts perspective and learn to choose the right lenses for landscapes, portraits, sports, and low-light scenes.
- Composition Essentials: Apply composition tips and techniques that make your photos visually compelling and professionally composed.
- Finding Ideal Lighting: Identify the best soft light for flattering portraits and learn how to work with natural lighting conditions.
- Much more: There are many additional topics covered in the course to give you confidence and control over the results.
Schedule: This 4-week course occurs on the day each week, for four weeks consecutively. An interchangeable lens camera (DSLR or mirrorless) is required to attend.
