What we’re about
A book club for the visually curious and philosophically inclined.
We’ll be reading On Photography by Susan Sontag—one essay at a time. Expect lively, thoughtful conversation about the ethics of images, media and spectacle, memory and war, and the cultural power of photography. Each month we’ll meet to discuss a chapter and reflect on the themes, with optional opportunities to share a photo and story of your own.
You don’t need to be an expert in photography or philosophy—just come with curiosity and an open mind.
