Chapter 1 (“In Plato’s Cave”)

In this January meeting of the Sontag Book Club, we’ll discuss the opening chapter of On Photography, where Susan Sontag examines how images frame reality and quietly assert authority over what counts as “truth.”

No prior background in photography or theory is needed. This is a discussion‑based, welcoming space.
