Location is ~120 miles (~2hrs) from the GW bridge. Limited to four participants. Transportation, Lodging, and meals are not included. A hotel recommendation would be the Hampton Inn in Abescon, but there are many more and less expensive in that area to choose from.

This workshop will teach you the many important aspects of bird photography, including but not limited to exposure (changes dramatically when the eagle is against the sky or the water), which autofocus mode to choose, which drive to use, light angle, stopping action, blurring action, composition, head angle, predicting behavior, exposure, etc. Limited to four participants so you can learn.

We will have fun. Dress warmly. Bring hot hands. There are portapotties on site.

Bring a 300mm lens or longer (there are many people there with 600 and 800mm lenses), but bring a 70-200 type lens too as the birds come quite close too. Either a Tripod or a Monopod or a Black Rapid type strap https://amzn.to/3gSVKDA is useful during slow times. You have access to your car, not much walking.

COVID. Tom and I are both fully vaccinated. This is an outdoor event. Here is what you need to know and comply with:

• Anyone who is sick with COVID-like symptoms must not attend.
• Anyone who has a fever over 100 degrees must not attend. Please check your temperature BEFORE you leave home.
• If you signed up for a workshop and have a positive COVID test please contact us ASAP.
• Anyone who has knowingly come in contact with a COVID positive person within the past two weeks must not attend.
