Longwood Gardens -- fun and creative flower workshop

Join Lisa and Tom Cuchara for a fun and creative flower workshop.

• Learn about backgrounds, composition, depth of field, flowers, backgrounds, macro, Bokeh, Zoom blurs, ICM (intentional camera movement), focus stacking (for Olympus and OM SYSTEM users), and more.
• Tom will also teach off-camera lighting (LED and flash, flash & pocket wizard will be provided)
• Shoot right alongside Lisa or Tom, see what we compose, take the same photos that we take, and create your own!
• We will help you improve your flower photography!
• Meet inside the visitor’s center at the group reservations entrance.
• ~139 miles from the GW Bridge.
• Cost $299.
• Longwood Admission included* (note that this date is an entry by-reservation only time).
• We will have a follow-up post-processing demonstration (with participant image reviews too) after the hands-on (via Zoom likely a weekday evening)
• Things to bring:
• Creative spirit
• willingness to learn
• your camera
• 1-3 lenses
• a 60/90/100/105mm macro (if you have one)
• any general 24-105, 12-100, 40-250, 75-30” type zoom lens
• a lens with a lens collar like a 40-150, 75-300 with a COLLAR (if you have one)
• tripod
• cable release

COVID. Tom and I are both fully vaccinated. Here is what you need to know and comply with:
• Anyone who is sick with COVID-like symptoms must not attend.
• Anyone who has a fever over 100 degrees must not attend. Please check your temperature BEFORE you leave home.
• If you signed up for a workshop and have a positive COVID test please contact us ASAP.
• Anyone who has knowingly come in contact with a COVID positive person within the past week must not attend.

• Unvaccinated and/or unboosted people should wear a mask indoors (or when very close to another for camera menu settings)
