Join us on this fun astrophotography group workshop and learn how to capture the night sky and Milky Way

1. Theory Class | Tuesday 30th of April | 6:30 -8:30 pm | Video Call
Content:
- How to plan your photos of the Milky Way
- Astrophotography camera settings
- Astrophotography equipment
- Focusing in low-light conditions
- How to compose images at night and with the Milky Way
- Noise reduction techniques like image stacking and blending layers

2. Practical Class | Saturday 4th of May | 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Hands-on class in beautiful Lake Tarawera

3. Editing Class | Date TBC | 6:00 -8:00 pm
- You will learn: How to do basic post-processing on Camera Raw or Lightroom
- How to correct light and colour
- How to add brightness to the core of the Milky Way
- How to blend 2 images (foreground and sky) to reduce noise
- Image stacking to reduce noise

***Dates of classes might vary depending on the weather conditions of the practical module***
In this case, we will reschedule on a date that works for all participants.

Group size: Minimum 4, maximum 6

Level: Basic, you don't need previous knowledge of photography or post-processing.

Gear: You need a camera that can be used in manual mode and can shoot up to 30 seconds, a tripod and a laptop/PC. We can lend a camera and tripod on the practical module
