BIG Chinese New Year PARADE

Chinese LUNAR NEW YEAR big parade and festival in Vancouver Chinatown Sunday February 22 2026 is not to be missed!
Bring extra batteries and extra memory cards and practice your action photography.
Try using different combinations of lenses telephoto and wide angle. Also good idea to use fill flash.
This annual event will not disappoint.
There will likely be some politicians making an appearance too.
After the big parade through Chinatown there will be follow up LION DANCES in front of various shops.
It is best to take public transit but you can also park for free street parking a few blocks away east and south of Chinatown within a 10 minute walk (but don't leave anything in your car) Feel free to contact me for tips and advice or if anybody wants to get together for snacks and coffee afterwards around 2 PM.
