Taking photos at the Procession of Dia De Muertos
Details
Hola amigos, join us at the yearly Dia De Muertos, a bright and colourful procession with masks and floats.
A valuable occasion to get in touch with the Mexican culture. This tradition was inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The Dia De Muertos (day of the death) is an occasion for families to commemorate the deceased loved ones. The observance falls during the Christian period of Allhallowtide and it arguably linked with ancient Aztec practices.
You can come dressed and wearing/holding lights, check pics of how people celebrate this day if unsure.
We meet at the entrance of Brussels Midi at Esp. de l'Europe in front of Tour du Midi at 18:30 and then we move together to find a place where to wait for the parade to arrive and take photos. The parade starts at 19 at Rue des Tanneurs/Croisement Bd du Midi and arrives at 20:30 at Jue de Balle. There we can continue the evening following the programme of the festival.
