Sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge

We will be photographing the sunrise from the Brooklyn Bridge. We will get the early morning blue hour capturing car trails as the sun rises and casts a beautiful glow on the city. We will work on composition and symmetry.

This will be a fun photo walk where I will teach the fundamentals of:

*Exposing for blue hour and sunrise

*Long Exposure & Motion

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

We will be walking halfway across the bridge starting from Dumbo. Then we will walk around dumbo and do some shots of the bridge with various foreground objects. We recommend bringing tripods and filters so you can experiment with long exposures.

This photography walk is designed to give all participants the opportunity to shoot and capture beautiful cityscapes. We will guide you through different photography techniques, camera settings and how to use filters to properly expose your shots. We will also spend a good amount of time on photo composition and developing your own style so your photos will tell your story to the viewer.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Upon signing up we will send everyone a detailed equipment and material list. The basic gear everyone should have is a digital SLR camera body, tripod and a variety of lens.

We will be doing some walking so it is advised for you to dress in layers and wear proper footwear.

We also recommend bringing a water and snack to stay hydrated and happy.
