Details
Want to learn how to use your camera beyond “auto” mode?
Join this relaxed, hands-on evening where an experienced hobbyist photographer will share tips and techniques with complete beginners.
Whether you have a DSLR, mirrorless, or just your smartphone, you’ll learn the basics of composition, lighting, and camera settings — and actually practice them during the walk.
💡 Who Should Join?
- Absolute beginners who want to learn from scratch
- Experienced professionals or hobbyist who don't mind teaching basics for free/or very small charge
- People who have a camera but never really used it
- Smartphone shooters who want better photos without new gear
📌 Notes
- This is a casual, friendly meetup — not a formal class.
- Bring your own camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or phone).
- We’ll walk at a slow pace to give time for practicing shots.
- You’re free to join or leave anytime, but please let us know if you’ll be late.
- 500 yen fee to help cover Meetup.com costs (over USD $200/year).
- Check out my other events — I often plan months ahead for seasonal moments like cherry blossoms 🌸, autumn leaves 🍂, and more.
Right now, everything except the concept is TBD:
- Date, time, and location: not decided yet about probably Shibuya
- Format: could be a short lesson + walk, or a sit-down workshop
- Gear: DSLR, mirrorless, or phone — all welcome
If this sounds interesting to you, sign up to express your interest and I’ll work with participants to figure out the details.
This would be a casual, friendly meetup, not a formal class, and the goal is to make photography feel approachable and fun.
