Excuse me Sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and saviour; JSON Web Tokens?
A lot of developers have heard about JWT before, but haven't really looked into the details and different use cases. Most of the blog post you'll find on the internet explain the usage for authentication, but there's much more to it! We'll take a look what's inside of a JSON Web Token, what makes them "secure" and how you can use them in a microservice architecture.
Speaker: Jens is currently working as a lead developer at Teamleader where he's helping Teamleader grow from product to platform, and from monolith to microservices. Jens is also the co-organiser of the PHP Ghent meetup and has developed quite some open source PHP packages.
