The talks:
Knowing your state machines
by Tobias Nyholm
Web development is not just about delivering a response. It is also about writing good code. The state pattern will help you move complexity from being all over your code to one or more state machines. This talk will introduce state machines, show how to identify uses of them and implement them in your Symfony application in an object oriented manner using the Symfony Workflow component.
Modern development with CMS like Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla
by Filip Joelsson
Sometimes when you inherit a project, they actually used a CMS instead of writing their own. That's good – right? Yes, except when it's bad. I'll walk you through a couple of messed up situations, and suggestions on how to get out of them. Will include messy Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla.
This is a paid event
We are trying something new here. We are charging 29 SEK for this event. We are doing that for two reasons:
- We want to be able to buy giveaways like stickers, books and T-shirts
- We want to have a budget to pay for speakers from other countries
We are not going to pay any salary to the organizers. This event is driven by a non-profit association (ideell förening) and we exists for its members.
