Details
OWASP Top Ten - Developing secure web apps by Kirk Jackson from Snapper (https://www.snapper.co.nz/).
The OWASP Top Ten (https://www.owasp.org/index.php/OWASP_Top_Ten_Cheat_Sheet) collects the ten most prevalent, dangerous threats against your website. In this talk Kirk will cover the Top Ten using easy to understand examples in PHP. It will be relevant for developers using any programming language.
The talk will also cover things to look for when choosing a development framework for your next web app.
By the end of this talk you should have an understanding of the types of threats that affect web applications, and have some tips for how to protect against them.
This is a combined Meetup with the OWASP New Zealand Chapter - Wellington (https://www.meetup.com/OWASP-New-Zealand-Chapter-Wellington/).
Food and beverages will be sponsored by iwantmyname (https://iwantmyname.co.nz/) - painless domain management - and PayPal + Braintree (https://developers.braintreepayments.com/).
