It's time for another PHPAmersfoort Meetup!
Our friends at Enrise have opened their office for us and our guest will be Juliette Reinders Folmer, the maintainer of PHP_CodeSniffer.
Instead of a one-way presentation, this session will be interactive and we will be able to ask any questions related to running PHPCS.
Enrise is easily reachable by car (located right next to the A1 exit "Amersfoort Noord") as well as by public transport (there is a bus stop 100m walking from the office). If you are coming by car, you can park your car on the roof of the building.
Schedule
19:00 - Doors open
19:30 - PHP_CodeSniffer: ask me anything - Juliette Reinders Folmer
20:30 - Social
Description:
Now most of you will have heard of PHP_CodeSniffer as a tool to check your code for consistent code style and common best practices. But are you really getting the most out of it ?
In this interactive session, you can ask Juliette anything you like about PHP_CodeSniffer and she will answer your questions via live demo.
Want to know how to avoid running PHPCS over the whole project via a pre-commit hook when you've changed only a few files ? Ask it!
Want to find a sniff for a particular code pattern you want to enforce ? Let's investigate!
Or maybe you are more interested in hearing about some common best practices for setting up a custom ruleset ? Or about what's coming in PHPCS 4.0 and when that release is expected ?
Start thinking of your questions now and be prepared to speak up!
