Speaker: Yannick Chenot
Yannick is a Brighton-based backend contractor with over 15 years of experience. He is also co-organiser of PHP Sussex, a local user group.
Talk: PHP for the console
When you think of command-line applications, PHP doesn't immediately come to mind. Yet the language powers many popular tools, either as standalone programs or to be used within projects. In this presentation, Yannick will explain how to build and distribute your own PHP command-line applications, using continuous integration tools to ensure compatibility across dependency versions.
The presentation should be fairly accessible, but being already familiar with Composer and having run commands in a terminal before will help.
