The Holy Grail of Software Architecture by Sebastian Feldmann
Building a solid architecture is a challenge for every IT-Team. In recent years, Microservices have reigned supreme in architectural discourse and are presented as the holy grail of Software Architecture. However, implementing Microservices the right way comes with a lot of challenges and complexity.
This talk will show how a modular approach can be applied to tackle those challenges and help you to make a smoother transition towards Microservices.
And maybe, just maybe, you won't have to take the last step and thus avoid unnecessary complexity.
Democratic Architecture by Stefan Priebsch
In today's diverse and rapidly evolving technological landscape, software architecture must transcend rigid implementation constraints in order to empower development teams effectively. Democratic Architecture is based on defining architecture primarily through high-level quality goals, while deliberately avoiding prescriptive implementation details. This approach creates a flexible framework that respects the expertise and unique environments of individual teams.
We will explore how embracing Democratic Architecture can lead to the creation of adaptable and resilient systems, as well as collaborative development cultures where architecture provides guidance rather than dictation. By decoupling architecture from implementation, we can better accommodate evolving requirements and technological shifts, thereby ensuring the long-term viability of systems and their alignment with business goals.
