Read Heidegger's "Parmenides"

Details
For our next session we continue Heidegger's Parmenides, based on his 1942-1943 lecture course. Besides the introduction to Parmenides famous philosophic poem, Heidegger here treats the Greek concept of truth as Aletheia or "unconcealment", contrasting it with the understanding of truth as the correctness of judgments. He also illustrates the original meaning of "Lethe" to the Greeks with an interpretation of the famous afterlife story at the end of Plato's Republic.
For our second session, we will read from section 4 of part 1 until the end of part 1, pages 58-130 in our edition, completing the "third directive" on how to rethink Aletheia, in Heidegger's scheme. This takes us through the concluding myth of Plato's Republic about the plains of Lethe, as part of the elucidation of the "concealment" aspect of truth as "unconcealment".
Please also note that the time is 1 hour earlier than all but the last session. Also, due to some recent disruptions, attendees will join a waiting room before the session and will be let in individually (which I should have enabled before).
