6:10 – 6:40 pm | Talk 1 – Continuous3D: Physical AI for Zero-Code Robotic Manufacturing and Maintenance
Overview:
Dr Peter King will introduce Continuous3D, a zero-code Physical AI solution that combines 3D sensing, automated toolpath generation and robotic control. It enables robots to perceive and adapt to worn components, irregular surfaces and unique damage—bringing intelligent automation to complex manufacturing and maintenance tasks.

Bio:
Dr Peter King is a Senior Research Scientist in CSIRO’s Robotic Manufacturing Team. His work focuses on digital technologies for large-format robotic additive manufacturing, automated component repair, metal 3D printing and robotic toolpath planning. He has led the development of cold-spray applications across naval component repair, aerospace manufacturing, printing-roller coatings and marine biofouling protection. Peter is also a driving force behind Continuous3D, a technology designed to make industrial robots easier to deploy for complex manufacturing and maintenance tasks—particularly one-off jobs in which every component, defect or repair is different.
6:40 – 7:10 pm | Talk 2 – From Perception to Safe Action: Multimodal Reasoning for Robots in Dynamic Environments
Overview:
Physical AI systems need to go beyond detecting objects. They must understand relationships, reason about changing scenes, and translate that understanding into timely and safe actions. This talk will present research on robot visual perception and multimodal reasoning in dynamic, human-crowded environments, including social scene understanding, spatial reasoning, and visual reasoning. It will then discuss how these capabilities connect to embodied AI and real-world robot decision-making, where latency, uncertainty, safety, and reliability become critical challenges.

Dr Simindokht Jahangard, Research Fellow at Monash University
Bio:
Dr Simindokht Jahangard is a Research Fellow in the Department of Data Science and AI at Monash University. Her research lies at the intersection of computer vision, robotics, visual and spatial reasoning, multimodal AI, embodied intelligence, and AI safety. Her work focuses on enabling robotic systems to understand complex, human-crowded environments and make reliable and safe decisions in the physical world.
7:10 – 7:40 pm | Talk 3 – Powering Physical AI: From Perception to Action with AMD Kria AI
Overview:
Physical AI requires more than AI inference—it must sense, reason, decide and act safely in real time. Eu Geen will introduce AMD’s Physical AI architecture and the Kria AI SOM and Robotics Developer Platform, which combine CPU, GPU, NPU and FPGA computing to support AI perception, deterministic control and next-generation autonomous robotics.

Eu Geen Chew is a Senior Field Applications Engineer at AMD with expertise in electronics, CPU/MCU/SoC architectures, RTL design and firmware development. He helps customers apply AMD’s heterogeneous and adaptive computing technologies to advanced embedded and Physical AI systems.
