George Copeland will tell us about surface features of black holes, and the possibility that all mass lies just inside the event horizon, instead of at a singularity in the center. First, an overview of stars and black holes will be described.
Then, looking strictly at evidence external to the black hole event horizon,
the arguments for a quantum shell containing the black hole mass at the horizon surface will be presented.
