What we’re about

"The real reason we're here is to make friends and figure out the Universe"- Martin Bauer, physicist

I'm changing the focus of this group slightly. Each meeting will be focus on one book and/or podcast topic. I'm stealing the idea from someone else's group (I hope you don't mind, Mardi) - but feel free to join up in her group - I believe they meet in North Palm Beach.

I will be reviewing some books and podcasts that I think will make good discussions. Reading and/or viewing will be required to come to meetings in order to keep the discussion focused.

Below is the original group description.

I'm creating this group in the hope of finding others to discuss physics and ponder it's implications. This will mainly revolve around Quantum and Relativistic physics (as opposed to Newtonian). I envision choosing specific topics for each meetup (Entanglement, Uncertainty, Quantum Computing, Time dilation, etc) and discussing over a drink or two. Or choosing a specific book to read and then discuss (or chapters from, as they can be quite informationally voluminous). This group will be open to all, from hobbyists (like myself) to whatever level of formal education you'd like to bring to the discussions.
While I appreciate the spiritual implications of some of this, and even discussions of such, this will be primarily a science led discussion and not a "New-Age-y" type group.
I look forward to hearing from like-minds.
Todd
