What we’re about
This is a group for intermediate to advanced classical pianists.
The plan is to gather once a month at 7:30 pm on a Friday evening with playing starting at 8:00 pm. Plan on playing a piece around 5 minutes long, although a 10 minute piece could work depending on how many people show up. We will pass around a notebook to signup and so we have a record what everyone played. There will be a break halfway through the playing, so please bring food or drinks to share.
This is a brand new group as of January 2025. You might be wondering where we are going to meet? I do not have a grand piano at my home, but I have a concert grand Yamaha at one of my workplaces, and a Steinway grand at the other. I would prefer to use those pianos as a backup. I was in a similar piano group in another city, and there is something very intimate about playing and hearing other people play someone's piano in their home.
