About us
This group is for jazz/blues/musical theatre pianists at all levels who would like to perform on a regular basis before friendly, supportive pianists and guests.
The goal: to provide a regular space for pianists to test their material and meet other pianists/jazz musicians. Visitors are welcome.
The program will consist of 12 performances of 5 minutes each, followed by a one-two hour jam session with other invited musicians.
Hour one will emphasize solo jazz/blues/MT pieces.
Hours 2-3 will be the jam. Pianists may participate if they wish.
To register: provide the names of your tunes and we will get you on the program!!
The venue: A baby grand will be provided, as well as space for the jam for the second half of the program.
Pianists and visitors will be asked to share in the rental cost for the studio.
If time permits, those interested are invited for a drink or coffee nearby...
