It's Here!! November Holiday Concert 2024!!

Piano Friends,

Our year end event is upon us! We've had an overwhelming response to our annual joint CAPG/PianoForte Holiday Meet Up concert on Saturday, November 9th @ 2 p.m. Because there is a concert following ours, I ask that everyone arrive by 1:45 p.m. at the latest to do a very quick warm-up on stage. We will begin promptly at 2 p.m.

Please note that our program is bursting at the seams! We are now nearing 15 performers (gasp!). Consequently, I have closed the RSVPs. I am trying to finalize the program but need to confirm your pieces. I must also stress that due to the high number of performers, we must be strict about that 7-9 minute window to accommodate everyone. As such, please be considerate with your piece selections. I may ask you to trim your proposed number of pieces, or ask that you play one fewer movement or eliminate repeats. If you are no longer able to join us on Saturday, kindly let me know ASAP so that we can make that adjustment to the program.

We are also creating a formal program with a playing order. We hope that you will stay for the entirety of the program, but if you do have an unavoidable time constraint, please let me know immediately, as I will not "slip" anyone in to accommodate schedules on site. That is disruptive to the flow of our concert and our playing order.

As is customary, our cost will be $10 a piece as a very modest contribution for the beautiful performance space that Thomas affords us on a bi-monthly basis, as well as refreshments. We are also hoping to have dinner afterwards at the Chicago Firehouse, so please let me know if you are interested in joining us.
