FINAL REMINDER - March "MeetUp" Madness!

Piano Friends,

March "MeetUp" Madness is here! I am so excited by the high volume of players signed up for this weekend. As usual, we are grateful to our wonderful host and benefactor, Thomas Zoells, who so graciously provides this beautiful space for us.

A few important reminders for Saturday:

1. Our RSVPs are officially CLOSED. As such, anyone who has not already RSVPd is welcome to listen, but there is no more room for performers.

2. Related to no. 1, if you are unable to come, PLEASE let me know immediately, so that I may offer your slot to the next person. I've had to turn away performers due to the large number of RSVPs, As such, kindly be considerate to your fellow performers if you can no longer join us. Remember, there are four more MeetUps this year, so you'll get another chance!

3. WARNING - Saturday is the St. Patrick's Day Parade and dyeing of the Chicago River. In other words, it will be a ZOO! So please give yourself extra time to arrive by 1:40, where we will give time for a brief warm up on the main stage. We will begin PROMPTLY at 2 p.m. and go in order. Latecomers will play at the end of the scheduled performers, so as not to disrupt the playing flow.

4. I thank you all for adhering to our 9-minute limit. I love that our collective repetoire has been growing appreciably. I will always make any adjustments I can to increase playing time (even outside of our 15 minutes slot). However, the more we stick the 9-minute limit, the more people I can fit in.

5. If you have RSVPd but NOT given me your pieces, you will be added at the end of the program. We are trying to curate a playing experience that accommodates our players of various levels and genres, hence the request for your pieces.

6. I will collect your $10 at the beginning of the program. This offering is an important gesture of gratitude for our benefactor, Thomas, who is foregoing prime rental for our usage. This money also goes to our yummy snacks!
