FINAL REMINDER - Happy New Year! January 2026 Meet Up

Hello, Piano Friends,
Our first MeetUp of 2026 is here! I am excited to see all of you tomorrow. We are welcoming some new members and some old friends who are returning after a long absence.
As a final reminder, we will convene on Saturday, January 10, 2026 @ 2 p.m. We are back to our regular format, with a few tweaks: admission is $10 to cover the cost of our lovely facility and refreshments, 7-9 minute playing time, all levels and genres are welcome, no specific performance order, no need to share names of piece(s) beforehand.
Don't forget our tweaks:
1. (Near) Performance-ready pieces - You are welcome and even encouraged to play a newer piece slightly under tempo or play the same piece from a previous MeetUp for refinement. However, out of courtesy to your fellow performers, please make sure that your piece(s) is reasonably playable. This means do not use this gathering to sight read new pieces that you've never played or barely practiced or attempt to perform pieces that you can only at a very slow practice speed.
2. Playing time - Our playing time is 7-9 minutes per performer to accommodate as many attendees as possible. However, after everyone has played tomorrow, if there is time remaining, I will give attendees the option to play an additional short piece (3 minutes or so).
PLEASE NOTE - Tomorrow is the Bears' playoff game against the Packers at Soldier Field. Although the game is not until 7:30 p.m., there will likely be heavy tailgating. As such, allow yourself extra time to travel downtown and park, just in case.
