### INTRODUCED LAST SUMMER IN NEWPORT BEACH DURING A SUCCESSFUL KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN, SANDY PICKLE IS A MODIFIED VERSION OF PICKLEBALL, DESIGNED FOR PLAY ON SAND AND GRASS.

### WHEN:

Friday, April 29th: Open play from 11 AM to 6 PM for those wishing to learn the game and get “tuned up” for competition.
Saturday, April 30th: Round-robin doubles tournament play - Start times at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM (Championship at 5 PM). [Pre-register and reserve a time at https://www.sandypickle.com/tournament/](https://www.sandypickle.com/tournament/)

### WHERE:

Courts will be set up on the beach adjacent to Newport Pier, near Lifeguard Tower 20

### FORMAT:

Each bracket consists of 6 teams playing one game against each of their 5 common opponents. Games are played to 11 (win by 2), switching sides when either team reaches 6 points. The team with the best 5-game win/loss record is the bracket champion (2-team tiebreaker: head-to-head results; 3+ team tiebreaker: total 5-game point margin). Bracket champions will compete for the overall championship in the final bracket.
