These events are for experienced volleyball players. Formal training is not required, but you should be familiar with 5-1 and 6-2 systems, and be sufficient in all basic skills (passing, setting, hitting, serving, and blocking). Generally: B+ level players should attend Advanced events, and players below B Level should attend our All Levels Events.
If you are unsure if these events are right for you:
- Join an All Levels Open Gym to gauge your skill level
- Join one of our Clinics to further develop your skills
Play will run for 2.5 hours from 7:30pm - 10:00pm at First United Methodist Church in SW Portland. Teams will be made on the spot by numbering off, and will be changed up during the event. This is a 1 net facility, so teams will play 2 rounds, sit 1, and repeat this for the duration of the event!
Team signups are welcome at these events!! Please note that if you don’t sign up a full team, others will be added to your team to reach 7 players.

Please note that this gym is not ADA accessible!
Court shoes are required for events! Court shoes are any shoes dedicated to indoor use/not worn outside. If you don't have court shoes we will have to turn you away and will not be able to offer a refund!
Players are expected to be respectful of the gym as well as each other! Please clean up any trash, bring out what you brought in, and respect the equipment/space. If this becomes an issue you may be barred from events.
Any discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in prompt removal from the group. If you are not comfortable playing with all people, this group is not for you. Players are expected to be inclusive and supportive of everyone playing!
Liability:
By registering for and playing in these events you acknowledge that you are playing at your own risk and accept liability for yourself and any guests. Organizers, hosts, and event venues are not liable for any theft or injury sustained during events.
