Looking for an inclusive community where families can connect, explore, and have some real fun together? You're in the right place! Our group is all about bringing parents, guardians, caregivers and kids together for a mix of activities that are way more exciting than your average playdate.
What We're About:
We're building meaningful connections for both parents and children through shared adventures and experiences. New to the area? Want to expand your social circle? Ready for your family to try something different? Come join our crew!
What We Do:
• Family-friendly hiking and outdoor adventures
• Camping trips and nature exploration
• Community volunteer projects we can tackle together
• Fun skill-sharing workshops and creative activities
• Parent-only meetups for grown-up talk and connection
• Seasonal events and whatever cool stuff our community has going on
Our Kids: We're currently focused on families with children ages 7-16, but we're totally open to growing as our community does.
Our Vibe: We're all about being inclusive and welcoming to every type of family - no matter your background, family structure, or whether you're a seasoned outdoor adventurer or just getting started. There's absolutely a spot for you here.
Join us as we build something special - a supportive community where parents genuinely connect and kids get to thrive through adventure, creativity, and friendship!
Note: Attendees under the age of 18 must have a guardian with them.
From Meetup:
Meetup members and organizers need to be at least 18 years old. While family groups are more than welcome on Meetup, anyone under the age of 18 attending an event must be accompanied by an adult. Welcome to Our First Pierce County Parents Event!
Come kick off our new community with a fun picnic potluck at the Kiwanis Kids Spray Park! This is the perfect chance to meet other families, let the kids have a blast, and see what our group is all about.
When: Friday, June 27th, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Where: Kiwanis Kids Spray Park at Pioneer Park

• Kids can enjoy the spray park and playground
• Casual introductions and getting to know each other
• Planning future adventures together

• A dish to share (main, side, snack, or drinks). Check the sign-up sheet to let us know what you're bringing and see what we still need:

• Blanket or chairs if you want extra seating
• Water bottles to stay hydrated
• Your sense of adventure and community spirit!Perfect for: Families with kids ages 7-16 (though siblings of all ages welcome!)
Parking & Facilities: Plenty of parking available, restrooms on-site, covered picnic areas
This is our launch event, so we're keeping it simple and fun while we get to know each other. Can't wait to meet everyone and start building our awesome Pierce County Parents community!
