Our plan to tackle the Decalibron Loop has been changed due to road closure!

Mt. Yale near Buena Vista, Colorado is the new location!

4am on Saturday MEET at the typical Safeway off the 24 near 31st St.

This hike is a 14er and designated HARD! Mt. Yale summit trail is alittle over 9 miles and about 4,300 ft elevation gain that features exquisite views, forested trail, scramble to the summit, creek crossing and alpine lake.

Cost: Free, just bring cash to help driver with gas and pay any parking fees

Weather: Estimated 50 degrees. Windy at the summit. Expect light snow.

Animals: Friendly and manageable dogs are OK but not recommended because long day and high altitude.

Trail conditions: Packed dirt, random stairs, rocky summit. Creek crossings. Snowy, windy and cold summit expected, be prepared! Hiking poles are recommended.

***NEEDED: WATER, hiking boots, hat, sunglasses, gloves, layered clothing, face mask/ balaclava, sunscreen, first aid kit, additional pair of socks, FOOD (snacks/drinks) to share. Hiking poles will most likely be needed.Deca
