From what I can tell the winter trailhead is at 11000ft and 1.75 miles lower. So im expecting 11.5 to 12 mile RT.
Also, weather looks amazing. No recent precipitation. 60s at the trailhead and maybe it hits freezing at the summit from windchill (actual temp upper 30s) with 6 to 16mph winds forecasted.
What to Expect
-Spring trail travel: snow/ice, some wind, mild to cold temps
-Steady, conversational pace with regroup points
-Emphasis on safe travel, communication, and smart turnarounds
-Turnaround time based on conditions and daylight
Required Gear
-Microspikes (required)
-Cold-weather trail loadout:
Warm layers + shell (expect wind)
-Gaiters (preference)-Water + snacks / lunch (plan for longer than expected)
-Multiple gloves (backup pair is key)
-Hat / buff / eye protection
-Trekking poles (strongly recommended)
-Headlamp (always)
