🎒 Mount Rosa Pack Shakedown — Late Fall Conditioning Hike
Details
Overview:
Join us for a full-day Mount Rosa hike as a late-fall conditioning day and pack shakedown. This is a good opportunity to test gear, dial in layers, work on pacing, and get a solid mountain day in before the holiday season and winter conditions fully settle in.
A few of us have bigger trips coming up later in the month, so some people may be hiking with loaded packs as a gear and fitness check. You do not need to carry a full pack to join — bring whatever makes sense for your own goals.
This will be a steady, training-oriented hike with a supportive, no-ego group.
Purpose
This hike is intended as:
- A full-day local conditioning hike
- A pack shakedown for anyone training for bigger trips
- A chance to test layers, nutrition, water, shoes, and loadout
- A good endurance day before winter and holiday schedules kick in
- A social mountain day with steady pacing and regroup points
This is not a race or summit-at-all-costs event. The goal is to get outside, move well together, and make smart decisions as a group.
What to Expect

- Steady uphill travel and sustained effort
- Late-fall conditions: possible cold, wind, snow, or ice

Meetup / Logistics
