Hiking - Gateway Loop Trail then food and drinks

Meet at the trailhead at 8. Head out at 8:15. We willl go clockwise around the loop. If you are late and want to meet us still then you can go counterclockwise and we will eventually meet. It should take about 3 hours. Then we can go to the Thumb for some BBQ lunch and drinks. I

This trail has some incline, nothing too crazy. But the trail is very rocky. It is rated as easy but I think it is more like a medium because it is so rocky.

Don’t under estimate the heat in mid September. You trailhead has a waterstation to fill up. Bring the right gear and sunblock.

Donations through meetup to pay for the annual group fee is not required but appreciated.

If we get a good turnout I’ll try to do one hiking event a month in addition to the ping pong and yard games meetup.
