### Pirates, Ghosts & Graeber: A Halloween Reading + Walk in the NYC Parade!

Ahoy, crew!
This Halloween, we’re taking our pirate spirits out of the pages and into the streets of NYC!

Meet-Up Time & Place:
5:30 PM sharp under the Tiffany Clock at Grand Central Station.
We’ll gather the crew, say a few “Aye, aye, captains!” and head downstairs to the lower level for a group reading featuring:

  • Scenes from a swashbuckling pirate novel
  • Real pirate stories and insights from David Graeber’s Pirate Enlightenment

After our readings, we’ll take the train together and head downtown to join the NYC Village Halloween Parade — walking as a pirate crew all the way to Union Square!

Costumes Required!
Wear your pirate gear — bandanas, coats, swords, or even sea-monster flair.
If you’d rather dress as something else, that’s fine too — we even have a Zoro Roronoa (from One Piece) in our ranks (or someone dressed like him ).

After-Party Option:
When we reach Union Square, anyone who wants to keep the adventure going can join for food and drinks at Veselka, the iconic Ukrainian restaurant in the East Village.
