Noodlehead might have been the more obvious choice in this category, but they have had some health department issues and recent comments are that the portions and proteins have shrunk considerably for the prices.

Enter Kiin Lao. Almost every entree on the menu is under $20++ and I've always found the portions to be more than enough. It's on the main drag (Forbes) in Squirrel Hill - easy to miss and up a set of stairs. But its comfy and bright inside. They have a bar if you want to add drinks.

Overview: This series of events will be focused on more budget friendly foodie options. I'm searching out places where quality, creativity, and value go hand in hand. Think foodie finds at food truck prices, big portions that lend to lunch leftovers, BYOB faves, or kick ass happy hour specials that make fancy places a little less wallet busting. You can certainly eat, drink, and spend whatever you want, but the idea is to make it fun to seek out deals and spend a little less.
