Nix @ 20: An introduction and celebration

An introduction to nix, nixpkgs, nixos, plus a Nix install party, inspired by Nix's 20th anniversary.

Matt McHenry and Samuel Eisenhandler will present on Nix and help folks get started with NixOS, a Linux distribution that uses the Nix package manager for declarative configuration.

We'll have a couple of laptops available for you to try out NixOS and try installing it yourself if you'd like to run through the process. They're not great machines but they're enough to get an idea of how it works.

We'll also have food from Choolaah courtesy of the Nix Foundation!
