Intro and open Q & A

This group has been moribund for a while, but, other than my busyness (and lazyness), there's no reason it should be! There's a lot going on in the space, and I'm an active participant with a lot to share.

I'd also like to get a feel for who's here and what the main areas of interest are, so that I can more effectively plan future events.

I'm thinking of this as the kick-off, where I'll give a brief intro, then open the floor for questions, comments, and event ideas. See you there!
