June 2024 Meeting of the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developers and Users Group aka FMBurgh!
The next meeting of FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, is now just one week away, It takes place on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 7:00 PM EDT, and we continue our hybrid meeting format with options to join us in-person or remotely.
If your schedule permits, please make plans to join us on the first Wednesday in May and submit your RSVP. We hope to see you there! Also, if you know someone who would love to participate but may not be on the mailing list, please feel free to forward this message and extend an invitation to join us.
FileMaker Show-n-Tell
The agenda for the evening includes a FileMaker Show-n-Tell as we are pleased to welcome Beth Latta from IT Solutions Consulting, Inc. to the podium. Almost every Claris FileMaker project requires the generation of reports in some capacity, and many of these reports need to be saved as a PDF. Beth will touch on the process to create a PDF from within FileMaker. Then, she will share a technique for combining PDFs created in FileMaker with additional external PDFs into a single document.
Speaker Bio
Beth Latta, from IT Solutions Consulting, Inc., is a self-proclaimed FileMaker addict! She is a FileMaker Certified Developer and has been solving business problems by using the Claris FileMaker platform for more than 30 years. Over that time, she has been an in-house developer, run her own business, and worked for FileMaker consulting firms. She found her home with IT Solutions in 2013.
As is our custom and if time permits, we will open the floor to general FileMaker discussion, so bring your questions. Hopefully, with a room full of FileMaker experts, we'll have the answers.
As noted above, this is a hybrid meeting. If you plan to join us in-person, we are gathering in the same (but still new to us) venue as we have the last few months. The Eat'n Park in Robinson Twp. is now "the Place for Smiles" and great Claris FileMaker discussion.

Dinner
For those meeting in-person, we will enjoy dinner together beginning at 6:00 PM before the official presentation starts at 7:00. Since we are meeting at a restaurant, your supper is any one of the delicious choices you will find on Eat'n Park's menu.
