Our very first meetup will center around the humble potato. We have two types of potatoes, Yukon Gold and German Butterball, both which are supposed to be good for our Zone 6b.

We will teach what we've learned in three years of growing these beauties, and you can teach us what you know!

You bring: your symbol of Garden Club (tool of choice), 3 ft of chickenwire and/or a 10 gallon fabric grow bag, some hay, and seedling potatoes if you have some (if not we can still help you make your plan and you can plant when you get home).

We provide: more tools, soil, more hay, some seedling potatoes, a hose, and a few different ways to grow potatoes. All you need is a 3x3 patch of sun in your yard or house that gets 6-8 hours of sunlight.

Also feel free to bring some cd's if you want, we have a cd player outside, and a cooler with drinks, maybe a blanket or a folding chair. We also have a fun patio mister if it gets too warm.
