Meetup Considerations
FYI, many people bring their own portable folding chairs as it is a relatively short walk between the 3 outdoor stages which are located between 7th and 10th along Penn Avenue (and within a few blocks from the Benedum). While it is not necessary to bring portable chairs, some people may find it helpful depending on how long they wish to stay at the festival.
There are also some terrific art gallery exhibits within a few blocks of the festival, including Wood Street Galleries, August Wilson Center, SPACE Gallery, 707 Penn Gallery, 709 Penn Gallery, Future Tenant, and Lantern Building along with numerous public art installations throughout the Cultural District.
Because people will be arriving and leaving at different times, we'll incorporate some flexibility with some suggested possible gathering times/locations for the Meetup members to gather if desired.
As always, it is also fine if you'd like to attend this festival on your own with family/friends instead.
We expect that at any given time during the festival, there could be anywhere from 3-20+ people from the Meetup enjoying the festivities -- however, they could dispersed among the many hundreds of jazz fans, general public, festival donors, etc.
However, we hope everyone enjoys some great live jazz (encompassing different styles) performed by musicians from all over the U.S. and other countries.
Stay tuned for updates!
