Please join us for an incredible afternoon of live jazz with Roger Humphries and the RH Factor Band featuring Dwayne Dolphin, Max Leake, Lou Stellute, and Jamie Moore, along with special guest vocalists Rev. Dr. Dred "Perky" Scott, Fred Pugh, and Judi Figel. This year's theme is Marvin Gaye's What's Going On?

About 400 guests are expected for this yearly event celebrating Pittsburgh's rich jazz tradition as well as the relaxing beauty of the Three Rivers. Where the rhythms and beats of jazz combine with the rhythms of the rivers and beat of the city. And what fantastic timing with the approach of summer!

Boarding 12:30 PM -- and cruise until 4:00 PM

TICKETS: $40 in advance, $45 at the door
For advance tickets, please go online https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rh-factor-presents-jazz-on-the-river-2019-tickets-59678463892?fbclid or stop by Dorsey's Records, 7614 Frankstown Avenue, Homewood.

Please note that a Portion of the Proceeds Benefit the Roger L. Humphries, Sr. Music Scholarship Fund.

Please note that this very special event is not being ticketed through the Gateway Clipper Box Office. This special "Jazz on the River" cruise is like a fundraiser or private event where people, non-profit groups, or other organizations can rent the use of Gateway Clipper ships. In such rental-type cases, organizations are often responsible for their own ticketing, marketing, etc. (so they may retain more incentive for the event to raise funds) while the Gateway Clipper provides the ship and crew to ensure passenger comfort as well as food, drinks, and other items for sale.

For music and background about the great Roger Humphries (who has played all over the world with Ray Charles, Horace Silver, Dizzy Gillespie, Stanley Turrentine, George Benson, Freddie Hubbard, Nancy Wilson, and many others) who will be performing, please visit http://www.rogerhumphriesband.com/

Because this cruise is open seating, we'll meet in Station Square near the fountains around 12:00-12:15 PM so many people in the group can board around the same time and quickly grab some tables when boarding begins at 12:30 PM

This jazz cruise will also offer a cash bar and snacks/lite bites for purchase. There will also be food available which people can order as they board the ship.

With summer approaching and many activities such as the Three Rivers Regatta, this jazz cruise will no doubt offer guests an even deeper appreciation of how the city has awakened with so many recreational opportunities along the Three Rivers (walking trails, river kayaking, boating/fishing) recent developments with the restoration of Point State Park, preservation of nearby historic buildings, as well as new buildings enhancing Pittsburgh's modern skyline.

We may never see the city the same way after experiencing the cruise.

Because the cruise will be over by 4 PM, we'll also have the option of getting a quick drink/dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Of course as always, it is also fine if you prefer to attend the jazz cruise on your own with family/friends.

Stay tuned for updates!

Don't forget to bring your camera!
