What we’re about
None of your friends care about your favorite band? You don't want to go to the show alone? This group exists to help connect people who enjoy checking out live music, with a particular bent toward rock, punk, indie, and alternative.
As organizer, I'll create events on here for any upcoming shows that I would want to go or that I anticipate people would be interested in. If there's anything I missed that you want gather a group around, please let me know and I can make you a co-organizer for that event! Also feel free to gauge interest for shows down in the Discussions forum.
Since we want our events to be conducive to socializing, we'll probably avoid stadium and arena shows, and instead prioritize small-to-medium-sized venues with plenty of general admission space (think Stage AE, Thunderbird, Bottlerocket, Spirit, Mr. Smalls, and Star Lake).
Please let me know if you have a suggestion for a show that you think people would like to attend!
RULES:
- Don't be creepy. Understand that people participate in this group to enjoy live music with others in a safe environment—and nothing more. This is not a dating group.
- Be respectful and accommodating toward others' tastes. Don't offend or alienate group members with trash talk about their favorite music.
- Only RSVP to events that you plan to attend; and if something comes up forces you to pivot, please communicate your change of plans as soon as possible to the other attendees.
- Tip your bartender!
