Book club: The Beginning Comes After the End by Rebecca Solnit
Details
Join us for a discussion of Rebecca Solnit’s new The Beginning Comes After the End. Solnit is a Buddhist practitioner, and this book addresses themes of change and interconnectedness. She explains, “The central idea of ecological thinking is that everything is connected to everything else,” she notes. “Buddhism has another version of that truth—non-attachment and compassion—which are really important parts of my political writing.”
We're teaming up with members of the Greenfield-based Neighborhood Zen sangha, so come meet fellow meditators!
We will meditate from 2:00 - 2:15 PM followed by discussion of the book over tea and light snacks. If you don’t want to sit and just want to discuss the book, feel free to come at 2:15 PM.
You can order the book from the publisher, Haymarket Books, or it’s also available from the library.
